I have an owner's manual for a NEC DS8000U VCR which I bought simply to get the model number of the remote control. I was hoping to upload scans of it to help others as it does not seem to be available for download anywhere. However I cannot upload to ET, when I do so I get the error message
Upload Failed!
This filename already exists.
If you want to upload anyway try to rename the file and upload again.
File was named "NEC DS8000U Owners Manual.pdf"
What am I doing wrong here? I've tried renaming the file as well, and searching ET for "DS8000U" doesn't give any results.

maybe your docs name was writen wrong, i.e. with spaces between words?
Write it please with hyphen or so; "NEC_DS8000U_VCR_Owners_Manual" and select please Video-DVD (category/group)for it...

Hi Kari and thanks for the reply. I tried it again using the exact filename you suggested and am still getting the same error. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as this is the first time I have tried to submit; most of my scans are of audio gear and have put them on other more specialized sites. thanks again

I edited the file information and removed (English) and that seems to have done it, that was the error I guess

Yes, I think you didn`t wrote "file info", what I called as "Group"..
In all cases; your DS8000U is now successful uploaded in 2-versions _tnx!
