Hello,
I bought a near mint TC-65 from my friend who had it in storage from her father's house. The only issue is that it doesn't play, and if it does the audio is so awful that you can't even hear anything.
I am hoping someone will be able to diagnose the sound before I crack it open and figure out what's going on.
I will attach a video of the sound exactly.

Hi,
I remember that sound, it's one of the gears. Take it apart, check the back.

Attempted to take it apart and found the 4" belt was broken but the 9" belt attached to the motor was still intact. Need to figure out how to take apart the cassette mechanism to replace what I think is the control pulley? This is my first cassette player I've attempted to repair.
