Indesit XWE 81283 washing machine won't turn on
Hi, I am in Malaysia and my 4 month old washing machine has suddenly ceased to turn on. Upon looking for a service center, i have discovered that Indesit has no service center in this country. I am a handyman and am looking for more information as to how to troubleshoot this machine.
here is what i know so far.
1. from the wall to the machine, i have confirmed there is power
2. the you press the on off button and the control panel lights up, but now it has ceased to do so
3. in my old electrolux washing machine, there was a way to reset the machine by pressing certain buttons in a certain sequence, but now i cant even do that since there is no power. i have tried other manual ways of resetting like disconnecting power from the wall, then pressing the on off button, then powering up again, but to no avail
4. my gut feeling is that there is either a break in the fuse where the powerline enters the machine (unlikely) or a failure at the electronic control board
5. before i open up the machine, i have been looking for more information on this matter, either from someone who may have experience with such a problem, or to find a service manual that my lead me towards doing a step by step diagnostics of the system failure.
