CD mechanics are very complicated. Every time the device is switched on, it moves the mechanical elements to return to the default state. There is no way around this procedure. On the other hand, if it fails, the entire operation will be paralyzed. Unfortunately, based on the service manual, you have to take it apart and put it back together step by step. The rubber ring inside must be replaced. If I remember correctly, its diameter is 40 mm.
All gear connections must be assembled very precisely according to the service manual, otherwise it will not work.
