Hi, a friend of mine gave me his flip to repair because he broke the usb slot.
I don't want to buy a new usb board as it's too expensive for him...
I tried to connect directly a usb cable so he can charge again the flip but it doesn't work?

do you think it's possible to connect directly a usb cable to the flip without the usb board ?

Is the battery not very low? Measure how much voltage is in it.

It is not possible because also a bluetooth and converter board
if the panel include only connector, try switching the data line

I tried exactly the same on a Flip 3, just connecting groud and +5v on the usb cable directly and it's working as expected...
one led is blinking and never stops, is that normal ?
I left the flip4 plugged for 20 minutes but the the battery or electronic starting whistling a bit so I didn't went further...

I think other parts are damaged as well.
If it is only connector board, there is a "deeper" faulty
