Hello:
I have a Sony FH-150R (circa 1987) compact high density component audio system (Probably the E model, not sure because there is no longer a model/serial number label) and need to change the AM tuning from 9 kHz increments (Japan's AM / MW frequency standard) to 10 kHz (Americas' standard)
Is it by a combination of keys on the front panel or by a dip switch or other method on the inside?
I have the service manual, but unless I missed the information, it's not there, and I have not been able to find the User Manual
Best Regards
Robert

Hi Robert,
I am afraid the tuning step is programmed in the controller for the specific geographic area. You can't change it by any internal control.

That's what I think will be the final result, that it can't be changed, basically due to the era it was manufactured. The headunit that I have in my car can be programmed, but is Android.
Thanks

Hi!
Check the TC9302F-005 INH (pin 48) voltage and the pin46 Reference output.
