Tannoy TS12 very low sound

Hi,

I purchased a Tannoy TS12 at auction, it turns on, to test it I plugged in a lead from my pc to the red and white plugs to test the sound, very low sound and not great. 

Any idea what the issue could be?

Keen to repair as these are now very rare.

Hi!
I don't know how much voltage comes out of the PC, but since it's designed for headphones, it probably can't drive the subwoofer. Try it from a CD player or an amplifier output .
