strange behaviour of this CD player: when i turn it to standby using the power button, it automatically switches back on immediately
a second thing is that when I eject the CD tray, it immediately closes the tray again, without you getting time to put in the CD
Any clue what might be the cause?

please check IC UPDxx power supply, and ceramic capacitors for GND

Check the power button, it may be conducting with a medium/high resistance value.
Check the limit switches on the CD mechanism, they may be defective in contact.
