Trio KA-2002 amplifier doesn't turn on

Hi guys,
I have a Trio KA 2002 Amp, which has given great service since the early 1970's and three days ago the amp would not switch ON.
It still has plugged into it, a Philips CD player; a cassette player/recorder; a Bang and Olufson radio all playing through Alpha speakers.... a modest but serviceable set up working well over many years!

All three of the main plugged in components do still power up separately.... BUT the main Amp does not light up at all.  I have checked the main power sockets and have replaced the 13 amp fuses in the plugs.  I have unscrewed a built in Fuse fitting at the rear of the amp and have found what looks like an empty short tube. (maybe this irrelevant? ... or hugely important??)    I put it back!

Basically....
I have no idea what I am looking at , or looking for.
Can anyone advise what might have been switched off?, or become detached?, or might be tweaked, or tightened in order to restore life into this amplifier??   I should say that have very limited technical skill beyond switching on/off, or reattaching wires or cables, but I will be grateful for any advice.  Thanks in advance.
Big Al.

Hi,

found what looks like an empty short tube.

That's the fuse.Did you  find any parameter  on it ,e.g. "T 1 A" or "F 1.25 A" ?
Try to replace with similar one. There are two versions: It will work, you'll be happy. Second, the fuse blows again, take it to a qualified repairman.
Good luck to repair.

Hi!
Unplug it from the outlet and toggle the voltage selection switch on the back panel a few times, (two screws must be unscrewed).
It could be a contact problem.
This is an old device, contact errors can easily occur.
To fix a more serious error, the device must be disassembled and some expertise is required.
