Yamaha p4500 amplifier sound issue of one channel

The issue is one channel still has sound coming through when dial all way off and when turn that channel up doesn't get any louder untill just bout all way up but will try to get loud but only for a sec if that makes sense. And the potentiometer is not the fault.
