Symptom 2K14 MVL - TV is continuously rebooting or starting up in Android recovery mode. Cure AFFECTED: 2k14 Marvel TV set, all series, based on QV14.1E. INFO: TV is continuously rebooting or starting up in Android recovery mode. SOLUTION: Call Centers: Direct customer to Work Shops for repair. Work Shops: Proceed as follows: PART A - Wipe Data: 1. Pressing down the Local Keybord joystick connect the TV set to power. The TV set should start in recovery mode and show the UI menu. 2. Copy the attached "WipeDataTool.upg" tool to an USB stick. 3. Plug the USB into the TV set (no other USB devices should be connected). 4. Select option “Apply update from external storage” and run the above "WipeDataTool". 5. Wait until the UI menu re-appears (WipeDate completed), then select "Reboot now". The TV should start up normal again. 6. If the TV set starts up normal, then proceed with Part B to put it back in Virgin mode. 7. If the TV is still rebooting, then replace the SSB. PART B - Virgin installation: 1. In Android mode select the “General Settings” menu. 2. Select the “Reinstall TV” option. 3. Select "YES" in next window and wait for the TV being reinstalled.
