Hello,
I have a washing machine (Bauknecht WAK74 (8583 642 03011) ) that had an F8 error due to a bad heating element. After changing it, the washing cycle (also the test program when hitting the "löschen" (delete) button a couple of times does more or less ) runs through, it is heating fine, but the F8 error is still being displayed.
I checked, cleaned, enhanced all the contacts, also of various other places I could reach to make sure it won't detect it e.g. due to vibration shortly causing a higher impedance.
I am a bit out of my comfort zone here (usually doing industrial stuff) so not having any experience with the brand and only service manuals from similar machines I am not quite sure if
( I also grabbed the µC code and tried to disassemble/decompile it in ghidra but didn't have the time to get very far with it)

- there is something else that could cause the F8 error that happened during the repair.
- there is a procedure needed to reset the error from the machine
- the error is really triggered each time the program (or test) runs, or if it is saved in the eeprom
