Hi

I have a Panasonic TH-48LFE8E display in at the moment.

The standby (red) LED does not come on when the power is connected and the unit is not responsive to the remote control.
However when the power button is pressed on the set the green power on LED lights, but there is no backlight or other signs of activity on the LCD.
I have tried to obtain a service manual but apparently they are no longer available?
I have not repaired many Panasonic units and if any one can help it would be appreciated

Anyone ever do one of these to a CRT?

Seems like the set has this jungle IC which will be where the RGB lines
for the OSD are needed for the mod:

Am not sure what the line would be that tells the chip to turn the OSD on. Apparently there
is a line if its 1 volt or more, it activates the OSD, if zero its normal video.

Also I think there must be a sync line tapped into which is bought out to the rear of the set,
with the (3) RGB lines / jacks but not sure where that would be tapped into?

I am gonna use BNC jacks, not the scart connector.
There are some youtube videos about RGB modding and lots of topics on the shumps
forums but so far it seems no one has tried this with Panasonic.

 

Üdv mindenkinek! Küzdök egy PANASONIC plazma tv-vel. Sajnos plazma tv-k javításban nincs nagy gyakorlatom,ezért kérném a plazma szakértők véleményét. Típusa: Panasonic viera TH-50PV7P GPH10DE Chassis A készülék bekapcsolható, távirányítóra reagál, hang van, csak a kép nem jelenik meg. Pontosasban halvány fényderengés látható a kijelzőn. Ha lehúzom a Y panel táp csatlakozóját( +192V) és úgy indítom el a tv-t még derengés se látható. Ugyan ez elmondható a Z panelről is. Vagyis mindkettő panel táplálása esetén látható csak a fényderengés. ( Neten olvastam így állapítható meg melyik board a hibás.) Sajna itt nem jött be. Egyszer előfordult, hogy bekapcsoláskor megjött a hangyák háborúja kb 7 mp-re . Majd vibrált a kijelző majd csak a derengés maradt. Lebontva a hátulját semmi rendellenes (púpos kondik, melegedés jelei) nem láthatóak. Mérve a főbb tápfeszeket, az SMPS működik a feliratozott értékeknek megfelelően. Ezeket az értékeket a Y és Z paneleken mértem . PVSUS = 192V TPVAD = 105V TPVE = 169,8V TPVBK = 155V A mérési pontot: TPVSET = 334V TPVSCN = 97,2V TPVDA = 76,2V TPSS1 = 160 V Az Y és Z modulokon nem találok zárlatos alkatrészeket. Panasonic SC kártya YSUS Y-Sustain TNPA4186 TH50PX75U X-SUS BOARD TNPA4187 logikai CTRL - TNPA4134 1D (BGA tokozású IC kontact hibás.) Nyomásnál megjön a kép.Ha van valakinek eladó vevő lennék rá.
