A fenti nyomtatónak melyik egysége cserélendő, vagy hibásodott meg?

Sziasztok! Adott a címben említett Xerox 3117 nyomtató, ami valójában megegyezik a Samsung ML-1610-el, így nem kell rögtön eldobni :) A készülék a mai bekapcsolástól kezdve nem működik. A státusz jelző ledjével szinte rögtön csak pirosan (folyamatosan) világít és nem futtatja le a bekapcsolási rutint. A készülék utoljára kedden volt használva és semmi gond sem volt vele (meg előtte sem), azóta ki volt kapcsolva. Természetesen megnéztem többször is biztos nincs-e valahol beragadt papír a rendszerben, a tonert is többször ki/beraktam, de ezektől semmi sem változott, hogyan lehetne leszűkíteni a problémát? Próbáltam bekapcsolni úgy, hogy a cancel gombot nyomva tartottam miközben a hálózati kapcsolót átbillentem ekkor a két LED viszonylag gyorsan váltakozva villog a toner kímélő led zölden, a státusz led pirosan, de egyéb dolog itt sem történt.

The Samsung CLP-310/315 and CLX-3175/3178 are great color laser printers and can be had quite inexpensively. But a set of replacement cartridges can cost more than the printer. Refill toner is very inexpensive--I use Meritline.com but there are other sources--but the cartridges contain an I2C EEPROM which records page count. You can refill the cartridge but it will still be reported as exhausted. A quirk of the printer design is that the original cartridges that come with the printer have no EEPROMS; their counts are stored in system EEPROM. With a simple modification to the printer you can erase these counts and cause the printer to accept any cartridges for multiple reuses. This is documented at http://rumburg.org/printerhack/ .
