Egy Orion set top box került hozzám táp hibával. Egy 47 uF35V -os kond. lecsökkent kapacitása okozta a fenti IC halálát. Vettem belőle a HQ-ban 3 db-ot, legyen tartalék. Az eredeti nem volt zárlatos, de nem működött. Ahogy betettem az újat, csont zárlat lett a a puffer kondin. Gondoltam, elrontottam valamit, ezért átnéztem tüzetesen, de minden rendben volt. Sebaj, betettem egy másik újat, aminél űjra csont zárlat lett. Elővettem a Datashet-et, ahol azt láttam, hogy az IC 5,6,7,8.lába a Drain, és össze van kötve, és a puffer kondira cstlakozna. 
Ismét átnéztem a panelt, és ott egyértelműen más volt a helyzet, pl. az 5.láb az optocsatolóra csatlakozik, tehát semmiképpen nem a Drain-re azaz a pufferkondira. Volt egy másik, tunerhibás set top box-om, amiben szintén VIPer 22A IC volt. A tápja működött, ezért kivettem az IC-t, áttettem a fenti box-ba, és simán működött így az is. A táp fóliázása, egyebe teljesen egyforma volt, nem lehet vitás.
 Kiforrasztva ezt az Ic-t ohmikusan is egyértelmű volt a különbség a kettő között: A kivett, működő IC 5,6. és 7,8 lába nem volt összekötve, míg a HQ-ban vásárolté mind a négy, mind a három új IC-nél. A felirat mind a négy IC-nél ugyanaz volt.
Számtalan Datashet információt átnéztem, de mindenhol össze voltak kötve az 5.6,7,8.lábak(Drain) kivéve az eredeti rosszat, és a működő, kiszerelt Ic-t, amely mindkét boxban működött.

There is no service manual of the Yamaha KX-250, anyone? I have fixed the mechanism of this unit, replaced the capstan motor (bad quality shreeking one with a better one), replaced the belts and works perfectly fine. Perfect audio, everything works great. However after testing it many times I reassembled the unit and did another test. Some tick noise is present in the audio.

The tick noise is present when executing a function, for example REW (most worse of all), FF or PLAY (only a few spikes randomly), also when using the remote. It is not a problem of the mechanism (motor) or a ground issue or something like that, disconnected it and problem still exists. Maybe it has something to do with static electricity because I have used the unit without HEAD cables attached to the mainboard (head input pins floating) however the pre-amplification circuit is working fine except of the noise. There are two IC's in this circuit, UPC1330HA head selector and a LA3161 pre-amplifier.

The LA3161 is a 2-channel preamplifier that has a circuit to reject ripple. Is it possible this IC is damaged (because of a (static) spike) and because of that the ripple rejection is no longer working? When I replace this IC the problem is solved?

Any ideas or do have some people any experience with this or recognize the sound behaviour discription? Anyone who can point me into the right direction?
