Girbau LS355 washing machine drain valve

We have a girbau washing machine model LS355/ We replaced a burnt out drain valve and installed a new one before the end of a  washing cycle the drain valve was overheating and drawing 15 amps, We bought another one and tested it off the machine its drawing 0.01 amps. Once installed on the machine we its drawing 10amps .What are the probale causes.
