I'm repairing a Grundig 5040W /3D . The logic on https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/grundig_5040w3d_5040_w_3d.html
makes perfect sense apart from the obere/untere wave band selector switch desinnation .
I cannot seem to work out the relation between untere and obere Platte. I do speak German, but is no help here either.
Is there an explanation to be found on line or is there a simple logic I'm complete overlooking

BTW is there a functional block diagram to be found anywhere.
