Sony ICF-2010 radio contact failure

I've had this radio for years and love it.  A problem has developed. I have to put the unit on the back, or I get ERROR messages. I read in other sources that this is a common problem. I will open it and look for loose connections. I can resolder some joints if necessary. It would help if I knew where to start.
