Kenwood A-34, Output only via CD-direct

Dear experts,
My Kenwood Amplifier A34 pays only on the CD_direct selector.
All others, e.g. normal CD or Tuner have nearly no signal on the speakers, even if you turn volume control fully to the right end position. Only a very week signal is audible.
What´s the root cause for this?
