I recently purchased a used Kenwood M-9000 SS micro Hi-Fi system, but unfortunately, the unit is not functioning correctly. When I power it on, the display is stuck on the message "Waiting for PC Wizard", and the device becomes completely unresponsive – it does not react to any buttons or remote control inputs.

From my research, it seems that this issue may be caused by a missing or corrupted firmware, particularly related to the Sunplus SPHE8202 chipset used inside the device.

I have been trying to locate the correct firmware file (possibly DVDROM.BIN) that matches the hardware (the board ID may be BD305890BB9B50), but so far, I have had no luck finding a working download source.

Could someone please help me with:

• The correct firmware file for this model

• Instructions or guidance on how to recover the system using a USB flash drive

• Any experience with solving this "Waiting for PC Wizard" message on similar Sunplus-based systems

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Rotel RA-980BX amp with a blown channel. I have sourced most of the transistors, but am struggling to find the other 4.


Part numbers as follow:

2SC4381
2SA1376
2SA1667


What would be suggested equivalents / suitable replacements?


Also, some advice, I suspect the bias pot to be bad. Based on the circuit, would you think that the bad bias pot would cause the drivers and outputs to blow? Any suggestion on modification to prevent this re-occurring?

Sziasztok! A fenti erősítővel szenvedek. Nagy kivezérlésnél világítani kezd a "protect" LED és többé nem szól. A félhíd kimenet 3-3 FET-ből áll. Mindkét csoportban 1-1 FET bezárlatosodik. Többen próbálták javítani sikertelenül. Most nálam kötött ki. Cseréltem FET-et a végfokba. Az erősítő UCD elvű. Nincs külön háromszög generátora. A kimenetről van visszacsatolva, úgy, hogy hangfrekin negatív, kapcsolófrekin pozitív a visszacsatolás. Azaz önrezgő (gerjed). Csak azt nem tudom, hogy milyen frekin kellene rezegni. Ügy tűnik, hogy két stabil gerjedési pontja van: 100 és 200kHz. Hol az egyik, hol a másik frekin rezeg. Ha hozzáérek a FET G lábához frekit vált. Ez tuti nem normális. Főleg, hogy 200 kHz-en elég ronda lekerekített a jel, míg 100kHz-en szép négyszög. Mi okozhatja azt az instabil gerjedést? Egy rajz jól jönne. Üdv.
