Hi!
I have a FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO LI 3710 notebook and it's display doesn't show the correct image anymore, it shows some stripes as you see from attached images.
What do you think it is ?

Yeah, I know about that crack. But what about the vertical stripes ?
If I would replace the lcd, would the stripes gone because I remember when the lcd showed the image just fine even with that crack?

hi,
i`m quite sure, GPU is brocken. even i`m sure there is not a brocken BGA problem. with external display probably you can use this hardware or must find service where they can replace GPU, but i think this not worth so much money
best regards

Hi!
Thanks for your reply. I was suspecting the display, but if it's the video card, replacing the display is worthless and the video card is integrated and wouldn't worth that.
However, it does work with an external monitor, which I thought it shouldn't have worked if it was the video card. I guess I will use as a desktop.
Thanks!

hi,
LVDS, connected to display, is defferent port on GPU, separated from a VGA and works independently. beacause GPU is not a card you can pull out (there is models with such a modul, but not in your case), you need to find much more then good service to repair this faullt
bye
