.rar extraction fails to allow indexed access to individual files

.rar file downloads and extracts, but I get over 100 individual files (that make up service manual) and the index file files to format each file (regardless of format: .pdf, text, html, etc) and displays only unformatted text string .
Help recompile into usable manual?
Thanks!

Still cannot unzip and create a usable manual.  Please try it yourself.  As described previously the unzip produces dozens of individual files with NO formatting, and the index does not properly open and display the files.  Thanks

Gary,
Probably the .rar file is not corrupt but I suspect that a special viewer software is required, which is based on html and xml and some special files. An ordinary web browser is not able to render these files to a properly looking manual. I have seen other companies, like Ford, distributing their service manuals in similar format. Unless you can find the original viewer software you need to open the files individually.

I hope this is what you asked for in order to solve .rar file unzip not leading to a usable manual

Thanks, but sadly NO.  This is the same file I downloaded previously.  I then unZipped it to produce the files listed earlier in my comments. BUT, the index and top files do not work in that they either DO NOT OPEN .pdf files, OR they open as a single text string (unformatted) all the .png and .xml files.

Is it possible the .css and .ps components used to format are missing from the zipped .rar file?

Could you try to unzip the .rar and see what happens?

Thanks

I suspect we are msssing .js and .css files that provide formatting for .html files?? Could this be the cause?  Thanks

.rar (of subject manual)
Extracts to these 4 files:
Top.html
Index.html
Tag.Text
DOC (directory containing many dozen files).

The Index file shows file tree, but when you try to open (click on) any text file, they are a continuous text stream with no formatting.  Graphics, like schematics do not open at all. Top.html does not open any files.  Thanks for your help solving.
