Precision 910 meter problem

Hello all- I think I just damaged my nice 910 tester...I set it up to test a 6SF5 tube, requiring 600V (position 4) on the last knob. I went through the "short/continuity" protocol, and then wanted to do the "replace/weak/good" protocol. I depressed the tube merit button fully, and then FORGOT to depress the "D" button before depressing the "read meter" button. The meter seems ruined, at the very least. Can this be fixed, or is my nice old tester now ruined??
Thank you for any help.
