Tascam DA45HR fuse issue

Although I have the operator's manual (Tascam DA45HR), the block diagram does not provide the location of the internal fuse. Either it does not look like the typical electronic fuse, or it's hidden in a difficult place to see/access it. I've asked Tascam directly where is the fuse - but I get no response from them. In fact, when I go online to find an 'Authorized' repair facility they claim there are none for Northern California - which I find hard to believe. If somebody can relay to me the use location, or an 'Authorized' repair facility in Northern California, it would be greatly appreciated.  DMcK

Hi!

What is the error phenomenon? Sometimes a small power and low value metal layer resistor is used as a fuse.

Hi... back at you!
Actually there is no error code, nor was there any indicator the unit was ready to crash. All of a sudden the unit simply won't power up. Even the DA 45 HR operator's manual / block diagram uses the term 'fuse' / 'replace fuse'. Yet as I look over the unit I do not see what should appear to be an electronic device's fuse. It's either not of the conventional design, or it's placed somewhere not visible unless you tear the unit entirely apart - which I'm not qualified to do. I'd be glad to take it into an 'Authorized' repair facility IF their website could locate one in Northern California - which it can't. Perhaps in SoCal, however I can't get anybody from SoCal to return my messages - so I don't even know if they are even in business. Simply put, why would such a unit stop powering up? The first and obvious thing to do is check the fuse - whatever or wherever it is. Otherwise I'd send it in for repair, IF I can find to where it should go. Any ideas?  Thanks for your time.   DMcK

Hi!

This website was created in Hungary (Europe).

You will only get a service address if an American expert who has this information comes here.
We can help you solve the problem yourself.

I am attaching a picture from the service manual (which is not very informative anyway).

https://drive.google.com/file/d/118deUNUhNCVOY5ZwbbXCXIymhWtFkVTw/view?u...

I wrote in green letters where the fuses are on the power supply panel (4 pieces in total).
You need to check these.
Or you look for a general service center and try to have them fix it.

Please take electrical contact protection seriously! Never touch the device inside when it is connected to the wall socket!

Good luck!

Hello.
I just want to say 'thank you' for your time and response. These fuses are on the underside of a PC board that is under another assembly (tape). This is somewhat beyond what I'm willing to undertake myself - so back to finding a reputable repair facility.
Thanks again!
