My FR-V5 is in good working order except for the CD function.
The CD tray is selectable and pops out. When CD is added and tray retuns there is no playback. The CD does not spin up.
The Tray automatically opens after about 2 seconds.
I have had it apart but I have no Service Manual. My first thought is the lazer sensor is dirty? But I could no access it.
What do you recommend?

I already have a copy of service manual in Japanese. I cleaned the sensor two times but not solved the problem CD is not recognised and does not spin-up. The cd tray seems out of alignment with cd slot on front cover. But I cannot see how to realign it. Pity, because it works perfect except for cd playback.
