Peavy Max 112 Bass amplifier not working

Hello I bought a used Peavy Max 112 Bass amp Non Working. From a friend. It was the guitar I wanted and the Amp came with it
Upon looking at the board that connects to the heatsink. I found a dark spot that are marked D9 and D10. However in the D10 place is definitely a resister. I haven't even read the values but it is the usual cream colored with the color code lines just like the rest of the resisters on the board. But why is this? Or is it possible someone else has replaced the diode with a resister?  Thank You

Hi!
It is likely that they were replaced, since D9 and D10 are Zener diodes (1N4744A) which are 15 Volts.
Since this is in the power supply, they produce the plus and minus 15 volts that power the op amps.
The lack of this power supply may be the reason why it does not work.
As a first step, you should measure this 15 Volt and install new diodes.

Thank you I really appreciate this. Seeing I paid 60 bucks for the whole thing with my eye on the axe,and have heard but never tried a 6 string guitar through one, but many Guitar players actually like the sound of a 6 string guitar played through a bass amp. If I get it grinding again,it will be one of the best deals iv made. If I don't care for its tone I'm sure I'll have little trouble trading it for a regular amp.
