Dear Forum Members,
I am writing to seek your expertise regarding a persistent issue with my Panasonic inverter microwave model NN-SD997S. Despite replacing all three interlock switches with OEM replacements and inspecting the control panel for any damage, the microwave continues to exhibit the following behavior:
- Automatic Activation: When the microwave door is closed, it automatically turns on, activating the turntable, light, and fan, even without pressing any buttons.
- Door Latch Assembly: I have carefully examined the door latch assembly, and it appears straight without any visible bending or damage.
- No Burnt Marks: There are no burnt marks or obvious signs of damage on the control panel.
Given the above details, I am at a loss as to what might be causing this issue. I appreciate any insights or troubleshooting steps you can provide to help me resolve this problem. If there are specific tests or checks I should perform, please let me know.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Best regards,

Hello Eon,
This "ghosting " symptom caused by membrane switches,e.g. start/stop button.
Remove the keyboard panel connector, and if its necessary, replace the control panel entirely.
