Crown MT 600 power amp from the 1980's, volume pot issue

I recently purchased this used amp but it has a issue with one of the volume knobs on the back where it got hit cracking the plastic panel on the back side of the volume pot.  I need to replace it but it's been darn near 1/2 a century since I looked at schematics.  I need to know the value of this variable pot so I can replace it.  I took a reading of the good one with a VOM and it says 5k......but that doesn't seem right.  I'd think it would have been a 100k pot.  Can anyone help me here?  Thanks
