NAD M12 preamp firmware reset?

Hi,
I wonder if it's possible to reset the NAD M12 DAC/preamp completely. I mean not the factory reset, which can be done from the menu. This does not reset the firmware.

I am asking, because the software/firmware versions programmed in de set appears on random moments on the screen, which is very annoying.
They can stay and sometimes they disappear. 
I think it's a software issue, so I wanna try a complete reset, if possible.
