The dish washer produces a "working" sound, even when switched off by the on/off - button at the front door. The sound most likely stems from the pump.
I found the service manual at https://elektrotanya.com/miele_g1000_g2000_dishwasher_service_manual.pdf..., although it seems about models for the american market, but this is an european model.
Could it be a relay sticking at the on position?
No need to worry about safety, I am pretty well educated in electrical engineering, but inexperienced in repair of... well, most things, including household electronics.

Hi,
It doesn't display any error code (F70 for example)? The drain pump is run by the machine in case of flood protection. This happens when there is a leak somewhere inside and there is water in the lower tray which raises the float switch.
