Hi All, I have a Denon AVR-X1300W Surround System with no Sound out.
Local repair agent says they think the Main I/O Board HDMI/AV input board is faulty.
Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement for a reasonable price {Even second hand is fine} or any Ideas on where to begin for Repairing it myself?
Comments
1.Download x1300 service manual from elektrotanya
2.See p101.
3.Follow steps printed on P.101 to find out if dir,PLD, DSP OR DAC in trouble.
If dir , you can fix it.
If DSP half-half chance if not ROM in trouble. If ROM is in trouble, a program burner is needed.
If PLD, a program burner needed.
Why? Can you use your computer without installation of win10/7/8/vista/XP? Of course, No. ROM has a software for PLD/DSP chip to run.
I.Check voltage supply,Vcc,of each chip.
IICheck crystal of each chip with an analog or digital oscillosope. The probe needs to be set x10. Both pins namely 24MHz crystal need checked. They come from either main CPU or from an independent chip.
III.Check reset signal, 1V/div, slowest time-base.
IV.If I to III are ok, check if signal in or out from a defected chip (told you already in diag mode on p.101) by giving them a digital signal via coaxial or optical.
Good luck.
