Ghost touch on my Sony a55

Hello, I’ve got a problem with a Sony a55 that I recently got as a gift. I have an issue where the iso button on the multitouch pad is glitching and always stimulated resulting in the menu being completely unusable, it’s not stuck or anything, it’s just always stimulated. When I contacted the Sony helpdesk they told me that because I wasn’t not in the US or Canada they couldn’t help me and that I had to contact a Sony repair store in my area but there are none in my country
