Is it no sound or low sound?(I don't know your nerd level, so I'll tone mine down. lol) If it is low sound, I would suspect a failing capacitor. Probably near the output of the pre-amp section.
If it is no sound, I would suspect the output transistor(s) and maybe the related capacitors
(if the unit is 10+ years old.) Not the big electrolytic caps, but they are easy to check in circuit. The small fatter than the flat ones caps should be checked first, as that is what I see go bad first usually..
