JVC BR-6400TR: Tape Break Makes Eject Mode Impossible

Happy new year, guys,

After having winded a cassette, the above-mentioned vcr:
- normally triggers the re-winding mode;
- but because the tape broke at the very end of the cassette, the servomechanism stubbornly wants to rewind ─but the tape is broken─, preventing any command keys to stop it.
Consequently, the cassette can't be ejected.
What would you do or check first?

Thanks for your proposals
Marc

Üdvözletem!

Remove the cover of the tape recorder with the tape recorder switched off, cover the tape detector, switch on the tape recorder and remove the cassette. The electronics will detect a tape break as if the transparent part of the tape retractor were there and will therefore rewind the tape.

Kikapcsolt magnó mellett vegye le a magnó fedelét, fedje le a szalagérzékelőt, kapcsolja be a magnót, és vegye ki a kazettát. Az elektronika úgy érzékeli a szalagszakadást, mintha a szalagvisszahúzó átlátszó része ott lenne, és ezért visszatekeri a szalagot.

üdv
