KENWOOD KT-5020L tuner, no signal for a while

Hi Every one.
I have an intermittent fault in my tuner. There is no signal shown on the S meter but after a lengthy period with it switched on the signal is shown and the tuner works normally.
The large electrolytic near the power supply section runs hot and is leaking so I want to replace this first.
QUESTION: Are the multi-wire connectors a push-fit on the board or have they been soldered to the board?
Also if someone could help diagnose this fault please.
