Hey,
You can use the AT89C4051-24PU instead of the original. The only difference is that the one with -PU suffix is in environmentally friendly package (lead and halide-free). The -PU and -PI parts are electrically identical. The AT89C4051-24PU is available at all major parts distributor (Digikey, Avnet, Arrow, Farnell, etc.).
Since these devices are unprogrammed you need the appropriate software and the programmer for it - I assume you have it.
