When removing the valve chassis from the cabinet does the dial and strings also come out or do you have to dissassemble the dial strings.
This is a first for me regarding vintage as old as this I don't want to damage anything. the problem with this radio is the push button preset selector does not "park"when pressed. When held by hand everything still works.
Is it possible to still aquire the tuning valve? EM80? Any other information will be much appreciated.
Can I recover it with a layer of clear varnish or do I need to rub down the old layer first?
