Sharp GF 8181 H radio make pulsating sound

Recently our radio has been making a pulsating sound. And the meter goes out of frequency range.
One day it does this and after turning it off for a long time it is gone again. It comes back irregularly.
Who knows what this is because we don't want to lose the radio because of its emotional value.
