SONY CFD-SO7CP - no volume

I have a Sony  Model No. CFD-SO7CP CD Radio Cassette-Corder. 
I have hardly used it but now I cannot get any volume. 
I can hear that the CD is going around and I can also hear and see the tape being played but NO VOLUME.
Is this a big fix or not?
