Sony MHC1600 mini hifi screen is flickering, turning off/on

I played 3cds. The next day in the morning I turned it ON and played music from phone using the Aux then left playing to use the restroom. When I returned, unit not playing anymore and no power. Tried to figure it out but to no avail. After an hour I plugged the unit and saw the clock/standby mode ok and turned it on….wow it’s ok! But after a minute it’s off. Then I noticed the clock on the front screen is flickering turning off/on…..no power then there’s, no power then there is. Always like this as days passed. What’s wrong with my unit?
