Hi guys, new this to this site and hoping one will have the knowledge to help out.
I’ve been building a 90’s stereo set up and bought the mentioned amplifier.
Turned it on and noticed the power light didn’t turn green, just stayed red so gave it a few minutes. I start to hear sizzling and then smoke rising from the top grill. Turned it off immediately, opened it up and found this little resistor burnt out.
So I have a few questions, would changing this individual part resolve the issue? Or is there a bigger issue that caused this to happen?

I’m pretty handy with electronics so would enjoy getting stuck in but is it worth it?
