My carefully used RS M206 cassette deck did not produce sound when inserted cassette last Sunday. One VU meter was damped and stopped. Other one did not work. Now no deflection on meters but the mechanism is working perfectly. I can repair it, but I like to get some fault-finding details from experts before opening. early. Please help me.

I would check the voltages at Q14 ,and Q15 ,check the soldering,
