I have a request: Repair information and possibly a service manual for the TSX132
The display on my Yamaha TSX 132 is too dark.
(even in the highest DIMM level 1).
I have opened the device and taken various measurements.
1) the filament (display heater) has a resistance of 8 Ohm, my opinion: o.k.
2) the acceleration voltage is 32 volts, my opinion: o.k.
3) the filament (display heater) is supplied with a sine wave voltage, 125kHz, Ampitude approx. 6.2Volt, is this voltage o.k.? ???
On the older model Yamaha TSX 130 this error could be corrected by replacing two (discrete) electrolytic capacitors 22uF/63Volt
(which decoupled the signal to the filament from a push-pull stage). These electrolytic capacitors then had ESR values of around 40 ohms.
I measured on the TSX132 all SMD electrolytic capacitors on the main board (when installed) with my capacitance tester (from Atlas).
- Capacitance and
- ESR
are not bad, for my opinion.
