Hello.
Sorry for my English, I use a online-translator.
There are owners of the European TX-P42G20E model?
I hope for your help. Please copy TV settings(software) to the SD-card and send files to me.
if you can somehow find a tx-p50g20e service manual, compare these
IC1101 TVRR326
IC4205 TVRR333
IC8921 TVRR329
IC8950 TVRR320
IC9304 TVRR330
which are your 42" to the same in the 50" and swap any that are different number.
failing that, try swap 8 pin eeprom IC9304 from old 42" board to the 50. this is the panel address data . be warned if you had a 1 blink SOS on original 42", a bad one of these can cause that so if it's bad it will transfer across. You can oreder replacement programmed eeprom
data copy to SD will do nothing except to transfer settings, that is preferences and channels stored. you can forget about IC8921, I expect that is the same in 50" models which is good since it has 48 pins. the rest are easy 8pin so swapping all of those should get it to your old board but it may only need the one I suggested.
I have converted a 50" New zealand board to a 42" Australian board doing this and it worked except I discovered that panel eeprom was corrupt and turned working 50 in to 1 blink. ordered replacement from panasonic and tv has been going strong for 12 months now.
